Review // shift dress

A few weeks ago, I found out about from a representative that was interested in a partnership between my blog and the online shop. I picked a few things to receive and review. The first was THIS sweet shift dress that was perfect for a night out with my husband and his sisters this past weekend in Dallas. We enjoyed drinks and good conversation up high on the Reunion Tower's restaurant, Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck.

This dress was fancy enough for the night while it can definitely be worn for more casual occasions as well. It was comfortable, light-weight, and I really like the bold floral pattern. It fit pretty loose and although it was advertised as being A-line, I think it's closer to being a shift dress, which I actually really like. It can easily be cinched at the waist with a belt for a more hip-hugging appearance, so it is versatile in that regard. It was a tad on the short side for me, so I paired it with black leggings. Because of the darker palette, I think it'll be a great fall go-to that I can pair with a cardigan  and boots (Texas weather permitting, of course).

Blog-tember // Day 12: THREE books

Took the weekend off from blogging and now I am back on the Blog-tember Challenge for today's literary prompt:

Three books! One you just read, one you're currently reading, and one you want to read.

Just three?! Riiiight. I had to cheat on this one. I am an avid reader and enjoy historical fiction, memoirs, better living, psychology, and YA fiction. Follow me on Goodreads and visit at the end of each month for my monthly book reviews. Alrighty, here we go:

Blog-tember // 1: Introduce yourself

Last September was a crazy-busy month for me. I moved all my belongings to Texas, had several wedding showers, and then high-tailed it back to Oregon for last-minute prep before our October wedding. Throughout the month, I was determined to join the fun of Bailey Jean's annual Blog-tember Challenge and managed to post twelve times in September. It was a great way to meet bloggers through the link-up while also a fun way to get creative with my posts due to Bailey's fun daily blogging prompts.

Blog-tember is basically a daily link-up party in September at Love Bailey Jean with daily prompts. I doubt I can post something everyday but I am hoping this will get me out of the summer blogging funk and re-energize me to write on the blog.
