Christmas Tag
I loved reading Dannielle's Christmas Tag post on her blog, Chick-A-DeeDee . . . and thought it would be fun to tag along for the Christmas-themed tag.
1) What is your favourite Christmas Film?
Hmm, so many great ones... It's hard to choose just one. I think my favorite is Polar Express. The past several years, my siblings and I have made a tradition of watching at OMSI's huge dome-shaped theatre. This year it was only one of my sister and I who were able to carry on the tradition and we were surprised to see that our beloved dome-shaped screen was replaced by a flat screen. The movie was still great, but we really missed the unique experience of the former Omnimax theatre. Next in line for favorite Christmas movies: Home Alone (the first two), Elf, and It's A Wonderful Life.
2) What is your favourite festive colour?
Glittery gold.

3) Do you open your gifts on Christmas eve or Christmas morning?
Our family has done both in the past years. We used to open gifts on Christmas Eve because the younger siblings could not stand waiting another day. Now as we are all older, we can wait until Christmas day . . . and it gives me and extra day to prepare the gifts, so I enjoy it!
4) What is your favourite winter fragrance?
I just bought two winter candles recently that I love! The Charles Dickens candle from Paddywax ex libris collection (tangerine, juniper, clove) and Illume's Balsam & Cedar soy candle. They are the perfect scents while wrapping gifts or decorating the apartment.

5) What is your favourite Christmas scent?

6) What is your favourite festive drink?
Hot Drink: Hot apple cider
Cold Drink: Burgerville's Peppermint Chocolate Milkshake
7) Candy canes or gingerbread men?
I haven't had gingerbread men in a long time so I think I am going to go with candy canes for this one!
8) What is your favourite Christmas song?
This is so hard to choose! I have to break it down a bit:
Favorite Christmas songs about Jesus' birth: O Come Let Us Adore Him and O Holy Night
Favorite Christmas Classics: Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, I'll Be Home For Christmas
Favorite Funny Christmas song: It's a tie between Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer and I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas.
9) Have you ever made a snowman?
I haven't made one for a long, long time . . . but YES! I remember the joy of staying home from school on snow days and making snow angels and snowmen.
10) What is most important to you about Christmas?
I love all the Christmas-y movies, scents, gifts, movies, lights, etc. BUT the most important part of Christmas is rejoicing in the birth of Jesus who humbled Himself from His Kingship in Heaven and was born in a lowly manger. There was nothing spectacular about His physical appearance. He lived a life of humility. He lived the perfect life we could never live. And then He started serving His Heavenly Father through His ministry on earth. He healed emotional, physical, and mental scars while pointing towards His Perfect Father. Then He did the unthinkable. He surrendered Himself to the Divine Exchange: Our sin for His purity.

I was just talking about the Hippopotamus for christmas song, it didn't make it to England apparently, I was so sad no one had heard of it! As much as a christmas movie freak I am, I still haven't seen Polar Express. It's sad they changed your movie theatre.
