travel tuesday // green lake park [seattle]
Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing some photos of my favorite place in Seattle, Green Lake Park.
I lived a few blocks away from this dreamy park for about four months in 2012 and felt so incredibly blessed to be so close to so much beauty! I spent many mornings jogging, walking & talking (with friends), and biking around the 3-mile path, lounging on the grassy carpet on sunny summer days, and praying through different issues while sitting on rocks by lake. Green Lake has a special place in my heart, and I visit every time I visit Seattle to reminisce on the memories I will always cherish.
Here are some photos from that sunny day in March. I spent a few hours of introvert-time that day and was definitely in my happy place, especially since the gorgeous cherry blossoms where in bloom!
I ended up going to Green Lake two of the three days I was in Seattle. On Sunday, prior to heading to church, I made a pit-stop to enjoy the lake one last time. I just could not peel my eyes away from the cherry blossoms.
What are your favorite parks in your town/in your favorite city?
p.s. check out my first post on March's Seattle trip here
What a lovely park! Is it in the city centre of Seattle? Looks more like it is situated in a small town ;)
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late reply! It is about 10minutes north of downtown, but very much still within Seattle. I agree though, it's a beautiful oasis within the city, situated in an adorable neighborhood
DeleteI love visiting parks while in a city. Those cherry blossoms are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love cherry blossoms too! This was a good year for them; they bloomed and stayed beautiful for several weeks!
DeleteGorgeous photos! I love the last one the most. My favourite park in London is Greenwich - big, beautiful and green :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't get to see Greenwich the 2 times I've been to London, but I loved Regent's and Hyde Park
DeleteLove those cherry blossoms!! Beautiful park!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tina! This is my favorite park ever. So many good memories here and just so much beauty!
DeleteAhhh! I am an expat living in Taiwan who comes from Seattle and these photos are just killing me. I haven't been home in nearly two years and I am so homesick it's cra-zy! I love this park and Seattle so much! Beautiful pictures :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jacqueline! Sad that you're so homesick. I would be too :( Taiwan is a loooong way from Seattle!
DeleteCherry blossoms are so pretty! They are definitely one of my favorite signs of spring! We only have a couple of parks in my town. Nothing too special like trees and and lakes. Just little small-town parks with a few benches and gazebos! :)
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds so lovely (especially the gazebos!!)
