Evangelina's Nursery Tour

Evangelina Rose is seven months, but it took until she was six months to finally finish her nursery. She's been sleeping in there since she was two month, but the wall behind her pack-n-play was sparse and unfinished. Recently, a cousin offered us her white crib, which matched the room perfectly, so I decided it was time to figure out what I wanted to do with that space on the wall right above the crib. I didn't necessarily want to buy too many new things and wanted to incorporate gifts from family, so after some thought and a bit of shopping, I landed on a great combination and am thrilled with the results.

Here are some photos of her floral-inspired nursery. The room doubles as a guest room, so we have a queen-size Murphy bed that looks like a large wardrobe against one wall. We shift things around (and bring Evangelina in our room) when we have guests, but the rest of the time, this is how her room looks.

As mentioned, the beautiful white crib is a hand-me-down from a  cousin, as is the rocking chair. We are so thankful for family and friends who have been so generous and kind in offering furniture, clothes, and other baby items they no longer need. It's been such a blessing and saved us a ton of money. The ribbon chandelier in the left corner was handmade by my mother-in-law to match the color scheme from the bed sheets. I also use it for Eva to play with sometimes.

This little flower fits in with the pretty blooms in her room. The mustard yellow heart is from Hobby Lobby and the bed sheets and floral identification chart are from Amazon.

Shelves are from Amazon. Anne of Green Gables board books (both kids love these!)

I found the tiny hanging shelves at Dollar Tree and added a fabric flower on top from Hobby Lobby (similar to this). The digital wall print is a quote from Alice and Wonderland, found on Etsy. Both frames are from Dollar Tree. The floral art in the gold-colored frame is a birthday card my sister-in-law made with quilling! Rainbow silicone stacker.

I love the Baby Believer board books by Danielle Hitchens. I read them with Elliot and now enjoy reading them with Evangelina, with the newest of the set, The Kingdom of Heaven, a new favorite.
The pikler triangle was made by a local seller. It has been great for hanging toys for Eva Rose, but it was actually a birthday gift for Elliot. We just don't have a better space for it in the house, so it works here because he climbs it while I nurse or change Eva's diaper. You can see the Murphy bed against the wall. It doesn't take up much space and our guests have reported it is comfortable since it fits our regular twelve-inch pillow top mattress.

There you have it! A sweet, floral sleeping (and sometimes playing) space for our little Eva Rose.
